Lads and Lasses: The Ligonier Highland Games were held in July with liquid sunshine in great
abundance! We experienced a menagerie of weather including torrential downpours, light drizzle,
sunshine, hard winds, and even a reported tornado near the town of Ligonier. All this being said, I
want to share a big St. Andrew’s thank you to all the folks who helped with the events that day. The
efforts of all were extraordinary. Field activities were phenomenal, and pipers, heavy athletics,
vendors, and all competitors were able to manage with the weather. A big “tapadh leat”.
